Hello Warriors lacrosse families,

It’s that time of year again!  Yes, it’s the holidays, but equally as important, it’s time to start prepping for the Spring rec lacrosse season!  All involved in running the Warriors programare excited to get the boys back on the lacrosse field again for another great year.

The Warriors program is intended for boys who will attend high school in the San Marcos school district.  As always, the primary goal of the program is to have FUN!!  There is absolutely no experience necessary to participate, and we expect to have multiple teams at each age group K-2, 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8, which allows us to put players together on teams with similar skill levels to help them get the most out of their season.

Our coaches will include a combination of paid professionals, parent volunteers, and current high school and college players, all of whom love the sport and the opportunity to give back to the community.   Our practice structure is designed to give new players the best opportunity to learn the fundamentals of lacrosse and build their skills quickly, and to challenge our more seasoned players to sharpen their acumen and become more competitive.

As in previous years the “all positions / nopositions” rule applies.  That means everyone plays in all games and we will be moving players around, so they get to experience different positions and all aspects of the game.

We want all players to come away from this season with a better understanding of the game, a solid sense of teamwork, camaraderie and commitment, and a greater love for the great sport of lacrosse!

Registration is now open - We have attached a step-by-step cheat sheet to help guide you through registration on the app.

The stack team app which you are on has an app for your phone, please download it as the app will be our main source of communication this season including schedules, rainouts, and event details.

All players and coaches MUST have active USA Lacrosse memberships in their own name to participate in the program – this provides our required insurance coverage. Please confirm your player’s membership is active and add your player’s member number at registration.

Player fees include a new game uniform (if selected).  Uniforms are the same as for prior years.  You may opt not to purchase a new game pinnie and shorts (and receive a discount) if you have a set that still fits from prior seasons

We have a limited supply of equipment available to rent for the season.  Each set includes a stick, helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads and gloves.

We offer sibling discounts of 25% for each player when multiple players from the same family participate in the same season.

We highly encourage parent volunteers to assist with coaching, team admin, and scorekeeping at home games.  If you are interested in any of these roles, there are boxes to click during registration and we will contact you with more details.

Note – we are still waiting for the City of San Marcos to finalize field allocations, so our start date and practice days and times are still subject to change.

Also please note that we are sincerely devoted to building a quality recreational lacrosse program in San Marcos that feeds our high school athletics programs and is available to all players.  If you have an interested player who would be unable to participate due to cost, please contact us so we can work out a solution.

We are an exempt non-profit 501©(3) organization, and always appreciate donations including used lacrosse equipment.  Donations are generally fully tax deductible.
